Two people have lost their lives, and 17 others were injured in a blast that occurred in the Barech Market area on Quetta’s Double Road, according to Dr. Waseem Baig, spokesperson for Balochistan’s health department. The injured have been rushed to the trauma center at Civil Hospital, where Medical Superintendent Dr. Abdul Hadi Kakar confirmed that the condition of four patients is critical.
Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rind reported that the explosion targeted a police vehicle, though the exact nature of the blast is still under investigation.
Earlier, today BLA attackers ambushed a vehicle in the Gwadar’s Kalmat area, forcibly removing passengers before opening fire. Five individuals were killed instantly, while several others sustained injuries.

Tragically, one of the injured victims later died while receiving medical treatment. Police reports confirm that the victims were traveling from Gwadar to Karachi. Among the deceased, one was identified as a resident of Multan.
Moreover, late Wednesday night, BLA armed men disrupted the main highway in Gwadar district, killing five people and setting several heavy vehicles transporting goods from the port ablaze.
SSP Highway Police, Hafeez Baloch, revealed that the attack occurred in the Tajaban area, where three large trailers carrying urea destined for Afghanistan were torched. Simultaneously, roads in Turbat, Panjgur, and Pasni, along with other regions such as Bolan, Kolpur, and Mastung, were also blocked by BLA militants. Reports also indicated a Levies vehicle was set on fire near Mastung.
