BLA’s gunmen opened fire in the Mangchar area of Quetta district, killing four workers. The victims were engaged in their duties at a tubewell when the incident occurred. Levies officials confirmed that all four workers were residents of Punjab.
This tragic event comes amid an increasingly volatile security situation. Just last week, terrorists from the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) targeted the Jafar Express, a passenger train traveling from Quetta to Punjab and Sindh.
The terrorists who carried out the cowardly attack on the Jaffar Express are in contact with their facilitators in Afghanistan. The terrorists have positioned suicide bombers very close to some innocent hostages among the passengers.
According to security sources, the suicide bombers are using women and children as shields. They have taken women and children hostage at three different locations, and the presence of women and children with the suicide bombers is causing security forces to exercise extreme caution during the operation.
Security forces have dispatched 37 injured individuals for medical assistance, rescued 190 passengers from the terrorists, and eliminated 33 terrorists.
