BLA terrorists torch road construction machinery in Barkhan, Balochistan
The outlawed Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization by the U.S., torched road construction machinery and a generator in Barkhan district, Balochistan. The attack caused damage to infrastructure but no loss of life.

Terrorists belonging to the outlawed Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA),designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) by the United States, set fire to road construction machinery and a generator in Barkhan district of Balochistan, officials confirmed on Monday.

According to Levies sources, armed BLA operatives targeted the site of an ongoing road project in the Dasht area late last night. The terrorists torched heavy machinery and a power generator being used for road construction. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.

Levies officials said investigations are underway and security forces are pursuing the attackers. “BLA terrorists carried out this act of sabotage. They will be tracked down and brought to justice,” a security officer stated.

The BLA has a long record of targeting infrastructure and development projects across Balochistan, often attacking laborers, contractors, and security forces. Officials say such attacks are part of a broader campaign to obstruct progress and spread fear in the province.

The latest sabotage follows a similar BLA-linked attack in March 2025, when terrorists opened fire on a construction company’s camp in Kalat’s Manguchar area, killing four workers.

Security analysts warn that despite counter-terrorism operations, the Barkhan incident underscores the persistent threat posed by the BLA — an outfit now internationally recognized as a terrorist organization.
