Baloch Liberation Army commander Jafar Mulla Ameen killed in Helmand Afghanistan”
“BLA Al-Fatah Squad commander Jafar, also known as Mulla Ameen, was killed in Afghanistan amid internal conflicts within the organization.”

Notorious terrorist and commander of the BLA Al-Fatah Squad, Jafar alias Mulla Ameen, was killed in Helmand, Afghanistan in September 2025 by a faction of his own terrorist organization due to internal rifts.

Highly credible sources have confirmed that the notorious terrorist and commander of the Baloch Liberation Army’s (BLA) Al-Fatah Squad, Jafar, also known as Mulla Ameen, was killed in Helmand province, Afghanistan, in September 2025. Reports suggest that he was eliminated by a faction within his own organization following internal disputes.

Jafar had been active in Balochistan’s Harnai, Sibi, Mach, and Loralai districts. Under the direction of BLA commander Bashir Zeb, he trained suicide bombers in the Naghau mountains and was directly involved in the targeted killing of local Baloch civilians.

The BLA’s Al-Fatah Squad largely comprises untrained young recruits who are trained in the mountainous regions of Afghanistan and Balochistan. In recent years, the organization has increasingly focused on recruiting educated youth through banned student groups such as the Baloch Student Organization Azad.

ؑEarlier this year, the BLA’s second-in-command of the Majeed Brigade, Rahman Gul, also known as Ustad Mureed, was killed in Afghanistan’s Helmand province in September 2025.

A native of Nushki in Balochistan and in his 40s, Gul was shot by an unidentified kill-team. He was widely regarded as the mastermind behind the Jaffar Express attack and had orchestrated multiple operations targeting both Pakistani security forces and Chinese nationals in Pakistan.

Despite sustaining serious injuries in 2023 during a targeted attack in Herat, Afghanistan, he continued his role overseeing suicide operations under Majeed Brigade commander Hammal Rehan.

Earlier, in February 2025, Mushtaq Kohi, a senior BLA commander, was assassinated in Kabul’s Khushal Khan area. Kohi was fatally stabbed while sitting in a taxi and succumbed to his injuries in hospital. Notably, the murder weapon was an apple-cutting knife, which fueled speculation regarding internal rivalries.

Kohi had been a strategic planner for the Majeed Brigade, recruiting young, educated Baloch women for suicide missions, and had close ties with former BLA leader Aslam Baloch, also known as Aslam Achu, who was killed in a 2019 suicide bombing in Kandahar.Sources points out growing discord and power struggles within the BLA’s leadership.

Pakistan has repeatedly expressed concern over the presence of anti-Pakistan militant groups operating from Afghanistan and has urged the Afghan interim government to dismantle safe havens for the BLA and the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), citing serious threats to national security.
