The Government of Balochistan has announced the establishment of the “Bank of Balochistan” following a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, where an initial feasibility report was presented. The project has been declared feasible, with the Chief Minister directing that an operational plan be prepared within one week.
Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti stated that the establishment of Bank of Balochistan will provide quality banking facilities to the public, traders, and investors. He assured that the people of Balochistan will soon hear good news regarding this initiative.
According to the Chief Minister, the Bank of Balochistan will promote economic activities in the province and create employment opportunities for the youth. He described the bank as a historic milestone in the province’s economy, emphasizing that it will accelerate the pace of development projects by utilizing provincial resources effectively.
The meeting was attended by Provincial Finance Minister Mir Shoaib Nosherwani, Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan, Principal Secretary Babar Khan, and other relevant officials. Banking sector experts also participated online, and there was consensus on making the Bank of Balochistan establishment plan operational soon.
