The government of Balochistan has taken a historic step by launching the province’s first automated financial e-filing system. Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti unveiled the system at a ceremony held at the Chief Minister Secretariat on Tuesday. Provincial ministers, lawmakers, and senior officials from different departments also attended the event.
For years, financial processes slowed under outdated procedures. As a result, efficiency dropped and citizen trust weakened. Now, with the shift to e-filing, the province is setting a new tone for transparency and accountability.
Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti explained, “The e-filing system is designed to serve as the backbone of comprehensive financial reform across the province.” He noted that its core features include online budget submissions. From now on, every government department must submit budget requests digitally.
This reform is not just about technology. Instead, it is about trust-building between citizens and government. With real-time data, resources will be managed better, decisions will be smarter, and citizens will be able to follow development projects more directly.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister stressed that “Balochistan is now stepping into the digital age, aligning itself with global transparency and accountability standards.” He praised local officials and IT experts for creating the system. Importantly, it was built entirely by Balochistan’s youth and professionals without outside help.
Of course, sweeping reform demands commitment and adaptability from officials, institutions, and citizens alike. Nevertheless, the benefits are clear: faster clearances, stronger oversight, and a system modeled after international best practices.
In conclusion, this is more than an upgrade, it is a collaboration for progress. By embracing digital governance, Balochistan is preparing to face the future with innovation, accountability, and determination.
