Iranian authorities cut short British couple's Balochistan journey

Their plan was to spend only five days in Iran before entering Pakistan through the Taftan border on 4th January. They had crossed into Iran from Armenia on 30th December. They intended to traverse the historic Balochistan belt, experiencing the region’s breathtaking landscapes, unique culture, and warm hospitality.

However, Iranian authorities detained them on unknown security charges, cutting their journey short. Reports suggest that Iranian state media surfaced the news of their arrest only last week while they held them in Iran since January.. The circumstances behind their detention remain unclear.
