Balochistan Youth Receive Visas Under CM Youth Skill Development Program
Skilled youth from Balochistan receive visas for jobs in Saudi Arabia and Qatar during a B-TEVTA ceremony in Quetta.

In a major boost to youth empowerment and economic resilience, 61 skilled young professionals from Balochistan have secured overseas employment in Saudi Arabia and Qatar under the Chief Minister’s Youth Skill Development and Overseas Employment Program.

A formal visa distribution ceremony was held in Quetta by the Balochistan Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (B-TEVTA), where selected candidates received their visas and travel documents, officially marking the start of their professional careers abroad.

The initiative reflects the vision of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti to create dignified, merit-based employment opportunities for the province’s youth while strengthening Pakistan’s economy through increased foreign remittances.

Speaking at the ceremony, Managing Director B-TEVTA Hamood-ur-Rehman, the chief guest, emphasized the broader responsibility of the selected candidates.

“You are ambassadors of Pakistan and Balochistan abroad. The Chief Minister’s Youth Skill Program is the first and most distinctive initiative of its kind in the country, built on merit, transparency, and respect for skilled labor,” he said.

Officials highlighted that the program aims to:

  • Provide sustainable overseas employment for skilled youth

  • Support families through stable foreign income

  • Contribute to national economic growth via remittances

B-TEVTA officials confirmed that the overseas placement process is being accelerated, with plans to send more trained professionals abroad in the coming months as demand from international labor markets grows.

The departing youth and their families expressed appreciation to the provincial government, noting that selections were made strictly on merit, without political or personal influence.

The ceremony was also attended by Director B-TEVTA Ghulam Mustafa Raisani and senior officials. B-TEVTA reaffirmed its commitment to delivering international-standard vocational and technical training, ensuring that Balochistan’s workforce remains competitive and in demand across global markets.
