Balochistan Winter Vacation 2025: Schools to Close for 2.5 Months

The Balochistan government has announced the winter vacation schedule 2025 for all public schools in the province’s cold regions. According to the provincial education department, the holidays, spanning two months and fifteen days, will begin on December 16, 2025.

The department confirmed that annual exams for classes 1 to 7 in colder districts, including Chaman, started on November 16 and will continue until November 24, 2025. Additionally, class 8 examinations under the Balochistan Board are scheduled to begin on November 24, 2025.

Last week, the Punjab School Education Department also announced winter vacation 2025, with holidays running from December 23, 2025, to January 12, 2026. Across Pakistan, winter vacations generally occur from mid-December to January.

In northern areas such as Gilgit-Baltistan and Murree, schools often close earlier due to heavy snowfall and extreme cold, while in southern regions, holidays typically begin in late December.

Winter vacations provide students with a break from academic activities and also create opportunities for family gatherings.
