Sarfraz Bugti briefing on Balochistan security operations 2025 and police modernization plan
CM Sarfraz Bugti says over 500 terrorists have been eliminated during Balochistan security operations in 2025; police to receive new technology, drones and training upgrades.

Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti has announced that more than 500 terrorists have been eliminated so far this year during Balochistan security operations 2025. He stated this during his visit to the Central Police Office in Quetta, where he reviewed policing capabilities and future reforms.

The Chief Minister emphasized that improving security in the province remains the government’s top priority. According to him, peace in Balochistan will directly support development, investment, and jobs.

Police Modernization Under Balochistan Security Operations 2025

Sarfraz Bugti confirmed that the federal government has pledged Rs 10 billion to strengthen policing resources. Under the Balochistan security operations 2025 strategy, funds will be used to:

  • Upgrade training schools

  • Introduce advanced IT courses for police officials

  • Purchase drones and night-vision equipment

  • Establish modern policing infrastructure

He added that law-enforcement agencies are being equipped to counter terrorism, cybercrime, drug trafficking, and financial crimes.

Merit-Based Recruitment and Reforms

Bugti stressed that recruitment will follow Pakistan Military Academy-level merit standards. Political pressure in policing will not be tolerated.

A golden handshake scheme will also be introduced for Levies personnel who do not want to transition into the police structure.

He said that reforms were necessary because modern policing demands technology, discipline, and capacity building — goals aligned with the Balochistan security operations 2025 plan.

During his visit, the Chief Minister laid a wreath at the Police Martyrs Monument and offered prayers. Bugti announced that the government will support the families of fallen officers, including covering the education of their children.

He added that the sacrifices of security forces will always be honored.

Operations Against Terrorists and Narcotics Networks

Bugti stated that coordinated efforts by Police, FC, Levies, and intelligence agencies have resulted in major achievements. He noted:

“The state will never bow to terrorists. They are being defeated in Balochistan.”

He also announced large-scale anti-narcotics operations, saying the government will protect youth from drugs under the Balochistan security operations 2025 plan.

The Chief Minister reiterated that security and economic growth are linked. He assured that Balochistan will continue working with federal and security institutions to ensure peace and development across the province.
