
The Government of Balochistan has imposed Section 144 across the entire province for a period of one month, citing serious security concerns following recent terrorist incidents.
According to an official notification, the decision was taken to prevent further violence, restrict the movement of miscreants, and ensure the protection of citizens’ lives and property.
What Restrictions Have Been Imposed?
A statement issued by the Balochistan Home Department outlines the following province-wide restrictions:

Ban on display and use of weapons

Prohibition on double riding (two persons on a motorcycle)

Ban on gatherings of five or more people

Movement with covered faces declared illegal

Ban on vehicles with tinted/black windows

Strict action against unregistered vehicles on roads
Authorities have warned that violations of these orders will result in strict legal action.
Quetta Placed on High Security Alert
Following 12 separate terrorist incidents reported a day earlier, security in the provincial capital Quetta has been placed on high alert.
Security sources say:

Key routes in upscale and sensitive areas have been sealed

Police and security personnel are deployed at entry and exit points of the city

City-wide patrols and search operations are underway

Dozens of suspects have been detained during snap checking operations
Meanwhile, mobile internet services remain suspended in Quetta and several other parts of Balochistan for the second consecutive day.
Officials say the extraordinary measures are aimed at restoring normalcy, preventing further attacks, and disrupting the movement of hostile elements. The government has urged citizens to cooperate with law enforcement agencies during this period of heightened security.
