The BRSP and Government of Balochistan partner to promote resilience, skill development, and sustainable livelihoods under the new RISE initiative.
The Balochistan Rural Support Programme (BRSP), in collaboration with the Government of Balochistan, has launched the Resilience, Integration, and Socio-Economic Empowerment (RISE) programme to promote inclusive growth and community development across the province.
The launch ceremony, held in Quetta on Monday, brought together senior government officials, development partners, civil society representatives, and community leaders.
Balochistan Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan called the RISE programme a “milestone in building a resilient, integrated, and empowered Balochistan,” stressing that it reflects the government’s dedication to creating equal opportunities for youth and marginalized groups.
BRSP Chief Executive Officer Dr. Tahir Rasheed said the initiative is “not just a project, but a movement toward a peaceful, prosperous, and resilient province.”
The RISE programme aims to enhance youth skill development, strengthen community institutions, and promote sustainable livelihoods across rural areas. Dr. Rasheed noted that BRSP has already reached 379,000 households in six districts, helping to reduce poverty and improve living standards.
The programme is expected to play a key role in building human capital, fostering social inclusion, and promoting long-term stability throughout Balochistan.
