Winter rain and snowfall in Balochistan
Rain and snowfall are forecast in several districts of Balochistan from December 29 to January 1.

Rain and snowfall are expected across large parts of Balochistan from the night of December 29 until January 1, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) said on Sunday.

According to a PDMA forecast, rain is likely in Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, Pishin, and Killa Abdullah during the period, while snowfall is expected in mountainous areas.

The advisory said rainfall is also expected in Killa Saifullah, Nushki, Chagai, Harnai, Barkhan, Sibi, and Loralai. Districts including Musakhel, Duki, Gwadar, Hub, Lasbela, Kech, Awaran, Panjgur, Khuzdar, Kalat, Mastung, Kachhi, and Washuk are also likely to receive rain.

In addition, Kharan, Surab, Zhob, and Sherani are expected to experience rainfall during the same period.

Authorities have advised travelers and tourists to avoid unnecessary travel, particularly in hilly and remote areas. Residents of coastal districts have been urged to remain in safe locations during rainfall and possible strong winds.
