Balochistan Police Rescue Six Family Members Abducted in Nasirabad, the SSP said that a search operation is under way to trace and apprehend the suspects.
Police in Baba Kot area of Nasirabad district successfully rescued six members of a family who had been abducted by armed assailants from Goth Joya, officials said on Wednesday.
The abducted individuals included two women, two men, and two young children. According to police, the incident occurred when a group of armed attackers stormed the area, creating fear among local residents before forcibly taking the family hostage.
SSP Nasirabad Ghulam Sarwar Bhio said the recovery operation was carried out in the Chandraman area, following a swift and coordinated response by local police teams. All six hostages were recovered safely and without any injuries.
“The assailants managed to flee the scene, however the hostages were safely recovered,” the SSP said, adding that a search operation is under way to trace and apprehend the suspects.
Police sources said around 30 armed attackers were involved in the abduction. The identity of the kidnappers remains unknown, and investigations are continuing.
Earlier Recoveries in Balochistan
The incident comes weeks after Balochistan Police in the Sohrab district recovered two transporters who had been abducted from Karachi’s Garden area, highlighting ongoing efforts to counter kidnapping and organised crime across the province.
Earlier in November, Inspector General of Police Balochistan, Muhammad Tahir, reaffirmed the force’s commitment to maintaining law and order.
“All available resources are being utilized to provide citizens with a crime-free environment. The crackdown on criminal elements will continue until lawlessness is eliminated,” the IG had stated.
Police leadership has reiterated its resolve to dismantle criminal networks, curb organised and street-level crime, and restore public confidence in law enforcement across Balochistan.
