Balochistan local by-elections will be held tomorrow for vacant seats of chairmen and vice chairmen in several local bodies. The Provincial Election Commissioner confirmed that all arrangements, including election material distribution, have been finalized.
The by-elections for vacant seats of chairmen and vice chairmen in local bodies across Balochistan will be held tomorrow.
According to the Provincial Election Commissioner, all necessary preparations for the polls have been finalized. The vacant seats include Surab Union Council 22, Anjira, Mehrabad, and the Surab Municipal Committee. Elections will also be held in Sherani Municipal Committee, Union Council 08, Kech Union Councils 37 and 38, and Zhob District Council.
For the transparent conduct of elections, the Assistant Commissioners, Additional Deputy Commissioners, and District Education Officers of the respective districts have been appointed as Returning and Presiding Officers. They will also exercise magisterial powers on October 1 and 2.
The Provincial Election Commissioner has directed all relevant authorities and departments to strictly implement the electoral code of conduct. Meanwhile, election material has been dispatched to the respective union councils and will be fully delivered by the end of today.
