Balochistan has achieved a historic milestone in Pakistan’s civil services, recording its highest-ever representation in the 53rd Common Training Programme (CTP) at the Civil Services Academy (CSA), Lahore.
Out of 136 probationary officers undergoing training, 52 officers — nearly 40 percent — hail from Balochistan, making it the largest provincial cohort in the batch. Officials have described the development as a significant shift toward greater regional inclusion in Pakistan’s bureaucracy.
Largest Provincial Share in CSA History
This marks the first time in the history of the Civil Services Academy that Balochistan has emerged as the numerically dominant province in a CTP batch.
Senior officials termed the achievement encouraging and symbolic, reflecting Balochistan’s growing academic presence and administrative engagement at the national level.
Landmark Inclusion of Women
Among the 52 officers from Balochistan, 18 are women, representing the largest provincial share of female officers in the current batch — a milestone widely seen as a positive indicator for gender inclusion and empowerment in the province.
A Shift in National Participation
Nearly 40 percent representation from Balochistan is being viewed as a notable departure from past trends, highlighting increased participation of youth from historically underrepresented regions in the country’s elite civil services.
