
Balochistan Kharan operation, Security forces have killed five militants linked to the proscribed Fitna al-Hindustan (FAH) in a successful ambush in Balochistan’s Kharan district, on Sunday.
According to security sources, credible intelligence was received regarding the movement of militants between Kanu Valley and Omar Dhore in Dasht, Kharan, following which an ambush was laid. The terrorists were engaged and neutralised, while weapons and ammunition were recovered from their possession.
12 India-backed FAH terrorists killed in Kalat
In a separate intelligence-based operation (IBO), security forces neutralised 12 India-backed terrorists associated with FAH in Kalat, ISPR confirmed.
The operation, conducted on December 6, led to an intense exchange of fire and the killing of all militants present in the compound. According to ISPR, the group was involved in multiple attacks in the region.
Recovered items included weapons, ammunition and explosives, while sanitisation is underway under Azm-e-Istehkam to clear the area of remaining India-sponsored militants.
Another operation in Dera Bugti
Meanwhile, in another counter-terror action, security forces killed five terrorists in Dera Bugti, who were allegedly receiving external support. The operation triggered heavy firing and resulted in the recovery of arms, ammunition and explosives.
Over 67,000 IBOs in 2025
ISPR DG Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry recently stated that 67,023 intelligence-based operations have been conducted nationwide this year — mostly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan — as part of ongoing counter-terrorism efforts.
He said 1,873 terrorists, including 136 Afghan nationals, have been killed in 2025, with 12,857 IBOs in KP and 53,309 in Balochistan till November.
