The Balochistan government has appointed Naqeebullah Kakar as the new Deputy Commissioner of Gwadar. He formally assumed charge at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, where senior officials welcomed him and expressed confidence in his ability to strengthen governance and public service delivery in the district.
A reception was organized in his honour, coinciding with a farewell ceremony for outgoing Deputy Commissioner Hamood-ur-Rehman. The event was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Boheer Dashti, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Dr. Abdul Shakoor, Assistant Commissioners, Tehsildars, and other district officers and staff.
Officials congratulated DC Kakar on his appointment and emphasized expectations regarding enhanced administrative performance and the continuity of ongoing development initiatives in Gwadar.
Outgoing DC Hamood-ur-Rehman was lauded for his contributions to district administration and community welfare. During his tenure, he spearheaded several key initiatives, including the establishment of the Zahoor Shah Hashmi Digital Library, a community-driven project designed to improve digital access and educational opportunities for youth in Gwadar.
