Balochistan Education Reform: 3,144 Schools Reactivated, 81,000+ Students Enrolled

In a major achievement, the Government of Balochistan has reactivated 3,144 previously non-functional schools, giving over 81,000 children access to education across the province. This historic effort marks the largest education revival campaign in Balochistan’s history.

Led by Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti and Provincial Education Minister Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani, the reform initiative reflects a strong commitment to educational development in even the most underserved areas.

“It is our full effort to ensure no child remains deprived of education,” said Minister Durrani. “The future of Balochistan is tied to education.”

Key Highlights of the Balochistan Education Reform

• 3,144 schools made functional across all districts

• 81,000+ students returned to classrooms

• 1,866 teachers recruited under SBK Phase 1

• 837 teachers appointed on contract in Phase 2

• 86 new hires made in Phase 3

• 290 schools reopened through internal staff reallocation

District-wise Enrollment Surges

Significant increases in student enrollment have been reported:

• Pishin: 10,076 new enrollments

• Khuzdar: 7,394 new students

• Awaran: 6,529 students enrolled

• Other districts like Zhob and Naseerabad also saw major progress
