Late-night tremors from the Balochistan earthquake 2025 were felt across several districts, registering a magnitude of 5.0 on the Richter scale, according to the Seismic Centre.
The earthquake struck at 2:45 AM, with tremors reported in Ziarat, Harnai, Zirdalo, Khost, Shaherg, Muslim Bagh, Khanozai, Kan Mehterzai, Rod Malazai, and Sarkhab among other areas.
Some areas of the provincial capital, Quetta, also felt mild shaking. Fortunately, no casualties or property damage have been reported so far.
A 6.3-magnitude earthquake struck near the northern Afghan city of Mazar-e-Sharif early on 3 November, killing at least seven people and injuring about 150, just months after a quake and strong aftershocks killed more than 2,200 people at the end of August.
