Balochistan violence on 18 September 2025: Chaman border blast kills four and VBIED attack on FC convoy in Kech leaves one soldier martyred and over 35 injured.
Security tightened across Balochistan after a blast near Chaman’s Pak-Afghan border taxi stand killed four people.

Balochistan witnessed a deadly day of violence on Thursday as two separate terrorist incidents struck the province, leaving several people dead and dozens injured.

In the border town of Chaman, at least four people were killed and two others injured when a powerful explosion ripped through a taxi stand near the Pak-Afghan border. According to police, the explosives were concealed in passengers’ luggage, detonating close to parked vehicles. The injured were rushed to Chaman District Hospital, while security forces cordoned off the area and launched an investigation.

In another incident the same day, terrorists targeted a Frontier Corps (FC) convoy with a suspected Vehicle-Borne Improvised Explosive Device (VBIED) in the Dasht area of Kech district. The convoy was en route from Gwadar to Turbat when it was hit. At least one FC soldier was martyred and more than 35 others injured, including 10 critically. Several vehicles were damaged in the powerful blast, which is feared to have been a suicide attack.

Following the attack, security forces cordoned off the site and began a large-scale search operation. The assault is believed to be the work of banned militant outfits active in the region.

Authorities have intensified security measures across Balochistan as both incidents underscore the continuing threat of militancy in the province.
