Balochistan Launches Digital Business Facilitation Centre to Boost Investment and Ease of Doing Business

Balochistan launches digital Business Facilitation Centre to simplify licensing and boost investment

Officials brief Quetta Chamber members on the new digital Business Facilitation Centre aimed at easing business processes

In a major step toward improving the investment climate, the Government of Balochistan has launched a digital Business Facilitation Centre (BFC) aimed at simplifying business procedures and enhancing investor confidence across the province.

The initiative introduces a modern one-window digital platform where entrepreneurs can access essential services such as licensing, registration, and regulatory approvals without needing to visit multiple government departments.

Chief Executive Officer of Balochistan Board of Investment and Trade, Qaim Lashari, described the launch of the Business Facilitation Centre as a significant milestone in modernising Balochistan’s business environment. Speaking during a briefing to the Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industry, he highlighted that the platform would reduce bureaucratic hurdles and improve efficiency for businesses.

Lashari explained that the digital system is designed to centralise all business-related services, eliminating the need for entrepreneurs to approach different departments separately for approvals and documentation. This streamlined process is expected to save time, cut costs, and encourage new investments in the province.

The initiative is part of the provincial government’s broader strategy to reform administrative systems linked to trade and investment. By digitising procedures and introducing a unified platform, authorities aim to create a more business-friendly environment and attract both local and foreign investors.

President of the Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Haji Muhammad Ayub Miryani, welcomed the move, calling it a long-standing demand of the business community. He noted that the establishment of the Business Facilitation Centre would significantly reduce the challenges faced by traders and investors when dealing with multiple government offices.

The launch of the BFC reflects growing efforts by the Balochistan government to enhance ease of doing business, improve transparency, and build investor trust through digital transformation.
