The Balochistan Assembly on Friday witnessed the presentation of a joint congratulatory resolution acknowledging Pakistan’s diplomatic role in efforts surrounding the United States-Iran ceasefire.

The resolution was moved by Provincial Interior Minister Mir Ziaullah Langau during a session chaired by Speaker Abdul Khaliq Achakzai.

Leadership Praised for Diplomatic Efforts

Speaking on the floor of the house, Langau lauded Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir for their leadership and diplomatic vision.

He termed their role during the regional tensions as an “exemplary model,” adding that Pakistan’s balanced and responsible approach had earned global recognition.

“Pakistan has emerged as a responsible and peace-loving nation, drawing the attention of global leadership,” Langau said.

The resolution states that the House appreciates the “visionary leadership and diplomatic foresight” demonstrated by the country’s civil and military leadership.

Pakistan’s Global Standing Highlighted

Lawmakers emphasized that Pakistan’s efforts during the ongoing regional tensions enhanced its international credibility and stature.

Langau expressed confidence that Pakistan’s diplomatic initiatives would bear fruit and further strengthen peace efforts in the region.

Broad Political Support Across Parties

Members from across the political spectrum endorsed the resolution, calling for unity beyond political differences in matters of national importance.

“Wars only bring destruction. Pakistan stands for peace and humanity.”

Provincial Minister Ali Madad Jatak also praised the leadership, claiming that people in both Iran and the United States were acknowledging Pakistan’s role.

Calls for Recognition and Unity

MPA Farah Azeem Shah stated that Pakistan’s civil and military leadership had helped avert global catastrophe and suggested that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif should be nominated for the Nobel Prize.

Other lawmakers reiterated that when national interests are at stake, political divisions must be set aside.

Regional Peace and Strategic Importance

Provincial Minister Noor Muhammad Dummar highlighted Pakistan’s balanced relations with both Iran and the United States, emphasizing the country’s role as a bridge for peace.

“The world is watching Pakistan. Our role is a matter of pride,” he said.
