The Balochistan government has approved a new appointment mechanism for provincial officers and employees from Grade 1 to Grade 21, introducing clearer authority and administrative oversight.
According to an official notification issued by the Chief Secretary of Balochistan, amendments have been made to the Balochistan Civil Servants Rules to define the competent authorities responsible for appointments across different grades.
Under the revised mechanism:

Appointments from Grade 1 to Grade 15 will be made by the relevant departmental Secretary.

Appointments from Grade 16 to Grade 20 will fall under the authority of the Chief Secretary of Balochistan.

Appointments in Grade 21 will be made by the Chief Minister of Balochistan.
