QUETTA: In a transformative step for child healthcare in Balochistan, more than 650,000 children have received life-saving emergency treatment through the efforts of Child Life Foundation in collaboration with the Government of Balochistan.
Through a strong public-private partnership, Child Life Foundation has established a state-of-the-art Children’s Emergency Room at Sandeman Provincial Hospital in Quetta and launched 32 Telemedicine Satellite Centers (TSCs) across secondary care hospitals in the province.
These facilities offer round-the-clock, expert pediatric emergency services—completely free of cost ensuring that even children in remote and underserved communities can access timely, high-quality care.

Child Life’s model of pediatric emergency care has not only proven highly effective on the ground, but has also received international recognition, achieving the same critical care outcomes as Pakistan’s top private hospitals.
This milestone marks a significant step forward in making universal, equitable healthcare for children a reality in Pakistan starting with Balochistan.
