
The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has carried out another major operation in Balochistan, successfully foiling a large drug smuggling attempt in Kech district.
According to ANF officials, the operation was conducted on the basis of intelligence-based information near Satellite Town, where a vehicle transporting narcotics from Panjgur to Turbat was intercepted.
During the search, ANF personnel recovered a huge quantity of drugs concealed inside plastic cans. The seized narcotics included 99 kilograms of ice (crystal meth), 50 kilograms of opium, and 73 kilograms of hashish. The total estimated market value of the recovered drugs is approximately Rs 32.6 million.
ANF officials confirmed that one suspect was arrested during the operation and shifted to the ANF police station for further legal proceedings.
Sources said that efforts are underway to trace and dismantle the entire drug smuggling network involved in the operation. Authorities emphasized that through continuous surveillance, timely intelligence gathering, and effective enforcement, the Anti-Narcotics Force continues to thwart drug trafficking attempts across Balochistan.
