The Balochistan government has approved a 10% ad-hoc relief allowance for government employees for the year 2025.
According to a notification issued by the provincial finance department, the allowance will be calculated at 10% of the basic salary and will be effective from 1 July 2025.
The notification further states that this allowance will not be granted to employees who are posted abroad or on deputation. The expenditure for this allowance will be adjusted in the revised estimates of the 2025-26 budget.

It is worth mentioning that Balochistan presented a surplus budget of Rs. 1,028 billion for the fiscal year 2025-26, with an estimated surplus of Rs. 24 billion.
The non-development budget is set at Rs. 642 billion, while the development budget is Rs. 249.5 billion. No new taxes have been introduced in the budget. Balochistan is expected to receive Rs. 66.5 billion under federally funded projects and Rs. 38 billion through foreign project assistance.
