Police in Kharan have successfully rescued a girl who was abducted last week and arrested all suspects allegedly involved in the kidnapping, officials said on Thursday.
According to Kharan Police, the operation was carried out following an intensive investigation and a series of targeted raids. Authorities confirmed that the abducted girl was recovered safely and reunited with her family.
Police said a kidnapping case was registered at Sar Kharan Police Station on June 10 at approximately 9:30 a.m. Three suspects were nominated in the First Information Report (FIR), including Sardar Lal Muhammad, Saeed Ahmed, and the main accused, Sanaullah.
Following the registration of the case, police launched an immediate search operation. Two of the nominated suspects, Sardar Lal Muhammad and Saeed Ahmed, were arrested earlier during the investigation. Based on information obtained from their interrogation, law enforcement officials intensified efforts to locate the principal suspect.
Authorities later arrested the main accused, Sanaullah, whose identification of the hideout led police to the safe recovery of the abducted girl.
Police officials stated that the victim had been concealed at a specific location by the suspects. However, continuous surveillance and swift action enabled law enforcement agencies to complete the operation successfully within a short period.
The three arrested suspects have been transferred to a police station, where further investigations are underway. Officials said they are examining the motive behind the kidnapping, possible accomplices, and any broader connections linked to the crime.
A police spokesperson reiterated that law enforcement agencies remain committed to ensuring public safety and will continue taking strict action against criminal activities across the district.
The successful rescue operation has been welcomed by local residents, who praised the timely response and efforts of Kharan Police in securing the victim’s safe return.
