Security forces, in coordination with police, conducted multiple intelligence-based operations in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over the past several days, killing 49 terrorists as part of the ongoing counterterrorism campaign against foreign-backed proxies, Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR)
The operations were conducted over the past several days in Mastung, Mashkel, Khuzdar and Panjgur, targeting what ISPR described as militants associated with Fitna al-Hindustan and foreign-supported terrorist networks.
Security forces also recovered and destroyed a significant quantity of weapons, explosives, explosive drums and remote-detonation equipment during the operations, according to the military’s media wing.
Mastung and Saranan Under Continued Security Focus
The latest operations are particularly significant for Mastung, which has witnessed repeated militant activity and subsequent security operations in recent weeks.
The wider security situation has also included violence in Saranan, Pishin, where terrorists previously attacked a police station, taking police vehicles and weapons before releasing two police personnel. Security forces and law-enforcement agencies subsequently intensified search and sanitisation operations in affected areas.
The latest intelligence-based operations indicate that authorities are continuing to pursue militant networks beyond individual attacks, with a focus on locating their personnel, weapons and logistical infrastructure.
Aftermath Operations Continue Across Balochistan
According to ISPR, sanitisation operations are continuing in areas where militant presence has been detected following the intelligence-based actions. Security forces are seeking to identify and eliminate remaining members and facilitators of terrorist networks.
The military said the operations were aimed at preventing attempts to undermine peace, security and stability in the province and described the recovery and destruction of weapons and remote-detonation equipment as a significant disruption to militant capabilities.
The operations are being conducted under the broader vision of Azm-e-Istehkam, with ISPR stating that the counterterrorism campaign will continue at full pace.
The latest figures underscore the continuing security pressure in Balochistan, where authorities are simultaneously pursuing militant networks through intelligence-led operations and follow-up sanitisation activities.
