Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti discusses education and youth programs with Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman.

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti announced that 3,200 closed schools have been reopened in the past two years.

Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, met with Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan’s Ameer, Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman. The provincial leadership of Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan was also present during the meeting. Both sides discussed the province’s political, social, and overall situation.

The Chief Minister and Jamaat-e-Islami chief agreed on measures to provide IT training to the youth. Mir Sarfraz Bugti said that under the Youth Skills Development Program, young people in the province are being equipped with vocational skills. He noted that the program has already sent its first batch of trainees to Saudi Arabia, while the second batch is currently receiving training for Germany.

The Chief Minister further stated that meritocracy is being promoted in the province, adding that 16,000 teachers have been recruited in the education department on merit. He announced that in the past two years, 3,200 closed schools have been made functional again. Additionally, 485 community schools have been established in just the last two months.

He also highlighted reforms in the health sector, mentioning that with the support of Indus Hospital, four rural hospitals have been upgraded with modern facilities. In some areas, government-level health services are being provided for the first time since the creation of Pakistan.

Jamaat-e-Islami chief Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman expressed satisfaction over the initiatives of the Balochistan government and said that IT training programs for the youth would be further expanded. He informed that so far, 12,000 young people in Balochistan have registered in such programs.

Hafiz Naeem emphasized that equal opportunities for Balochistan’s development and its integration into the national mainstream are essential, and Jamaat-e-Islami will play its role at the federal level in this regard.
