At least 21 terrorists were killed in Balochistan operations carried out by security forces and the Counterterrorism Department (CTD) in Quetta, Sherani, and Kech districts, while four more suspects disguised in women’s clothing were arrested in Khuzdar, officials confirmed on Wednesday.

10 Terrorists Killed in Quetta’s Aghbarg Operation

According to CTD officials, an operation was launched in the Aghbarg area on the outskirts of Quetta after intelligence indicated the presence of militants.

A CTD team cordoned off the locality, prompting heavy gunfire from the suspects. Security forces retaliated, leading to an intense exchange of fire lasting over an hour.

“As a result of the gun battle, 10 terrorists were killed on the spot,” a CTD spokesman said. Two CTD personnel were injured and shifted to hospital. Large quantities of automatic weapons, explosives, and other equipment were seized from the site. The slain terrorists remain unidentified, with investigations ongoing.

Eight Militants Neutralised in Sherani District

In a separate operation in Sherani district, eight militants linked to the outlawed Fitna al Khwarij were killed when security forces struck a suspected camp in the rugged Mughal Kot area.

Officials confirmed the recovery of sophisticated weapons, ammunition, and equipment from the hideout.

ISPR Confirms 13 Terrorists Killed in Quetta and Kech

Meanwhile, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that 13 terrorists belonging to Fitna al Khwarij and Fitna al Hindustan — the state’s terms for banned TTP and Baloch separatist outfits — were killed in two separate intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Quetta and Kech on Sept 30 and Oct 1.

During the Quetta operation, security forces engaged a militant hideout, killing 10 “Indian-sponsored Khwarij.” Another IBO in Kech district neutralised three terrorists affiliated with Fitna al Hindustan. Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from both sites.

Four Suspects Arrested in Khuzdar Disguised as Women

ISPR further reported that four terrorists were apprehended in Khuzdar district during an IBO. The suspects, allegedly linked to Fitna al Hindustan, were captured while attempting to flee disguised in women’s attire. Weapons and ammunition were seized.

The arrested men were said to be involved in multiple attacks in the region. The ISPR reiterated that security forces remain determined to eliminate terrorism in all its forms and reaffirmed the nation’s resolve to bring perpetrators and their facilitators to justice.
