Newly trained recruits march during the 68th passing-out parade of Frontier Corps Balochistan (North) at Loralai.

A total of 1,104 recruits formally joined the ranks of Frontier Corps Balochistan (North) after successfully completing their training, as a passing-out parade for the 68th batch (Phase Two) was held at the FC Training Centre Loralai on Sunday.

The ceremony marked a significant step in strengthening security efforts in the region and featured traditional military drill displays, a ceremonial band performance, and a formal inspection of the parade by Inspector General FC Balochistan (North) Major General Muhammad Atif Mujtaba, who served as the reviewing officer.

Addressing the graduating recruits, Major General Mujtaba congratulated them on completing their rigorous training and entering a force responsible for maintaining security and stability in one of Pakistan’s most sensitive regions. He also paid tribute to the families of the recruits, acknowledging their support and sacrifices in enabling their sons to pursue demanding careers in national service.

The IG described the Frontier Corps as an institution with a long-standing tradition of discipline, professionalism, and sacrifice. He urged the newly inducted personnel to uphold these values while performing their duties with dedication and commitment.

During the parade, the recruits marched in well-coordinated formations, demonstrating the skills and discipline acquired during their training. The event was attended by a large number of local residents, including tribal elders, community leaders, and representatives of civil society, reflecting ongoing efforts to strengthen trust and cooperation between security forces and the public.

In a symbolic and emotional gesture, Nawab Khan, father of martyred Khateeb Amshad Ali from Nushki, was invited as the chief guest. Organisers paid tribute to security personnel who have laid down their lives in the line of duty, highlighting the human cost associated with maintaining peace in conflict-affected areas.

Officials said the participation of families of fallen personnel serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made for national security and reinforces the values of honour and service within the force.

Some graduating recruits also shared brief remarks, expressing pride in wearing the uniform and joining the paramilitary force. One recruit encouraged youth across the country to consider careers in national service, while another described the induction as a personal honour and a responsibility towards the nation.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, awards were presented to trainees who demonstrated exceptional performance during the course, including distinctions in physical training, marksmanship, discipline, and overall conduct.

The Frontier Corps Balochistan (North) plays a vital role in border security, counter-terrorism operations, and providing support to civil administration across the northern districts of the province. Officials said the induction of the new batch would enhance the force’s operational readiness at a time when security responsibilities remain extensive, including border management, infrastructure protection, and emergency assistance.

The passing-out parade concluded with a formal salute and dispersal of the contingent, marking the transition of the recruits from trainees to active members of the force.
