In a major security operation, a 100-kg bomb was defused in Kalat Balochistan on Sunday, preventing what authorities say could have been a catastrophic terrorist attack in the region.
Security forces successfully defused a 100-kg bomb in Kalat Balochistan, after it was discovered planted beneath a bridge in Johan tehsil, officials confirmed. The locally manufactured explosive device was designed to cause large-scale destruction, but timely intelligence and rapid action by security personnel foiled the attack.
A bomb disposal unit promptly reached the site, safely neutralizing the explosive. Authorities have launched an investigation to identify and arrest those responsible.
